My Can Am Spyder started displaying "ck transmission, when I checked the code the manual stated check for out of range paddle shifter switches. The up & down shift switches connect to the computer buss system. Checked impedance of both up & down switches. The buss system appears to monitor the position based on one side of either switch being normally closed. Each switch has two poles, one normally closed & one normally open. The impedance in the closed position is rated < 4 ohms. The switches have a integrated 1 ohm resistor. One of the switches exceeded the < 4 ohm spec. Ordered a 1 ohm resistor to place in line on the out of tolerance switch. $1 for the resistor vs $350 for dealer to fix. I'm retired so I rather spend the time and enjoy investigating - solving the problem 👍

After ordering the resistors I checked the impedance of the switch that was out of spec., not only was it > 4 ohms, it had no repeatability. This is a a very tiny micro switch, fortunately although hard to find, it is not proprietary to Can-Am. In very small print was the mfg. Omron., after searching the internet I found the supplier of the switches. The Omron p/n' D2HW-BL201M & - BR201M. Ordered the 2 switches for $18 with FedEx 2 day shipping, considering that the dealer would just replace the paddle switch assembly that is priced on eBay for $155 + labor. It's extensive to remove the paddle switch assembly, the windshield, mirrors, upper & lower consoles, etc. have to be removed and then the connector has to be carefully snaked back out of the upper frame. I'm thinking more like $400+ including labor for dealer to charge.
