Another bolt on trike kit that fits Harley's, Indian's and Goldwings is the Tilting Motor Works kit. You can not buy the kit and install it yourself, you must order t and have it shipped to an approved shop in your area.

So what is the advantage of it over just factory two wheels? I had such a trike in a factory built Piaggio MP3 500 reverse trike, but I was disappointed in the locking front fork feature. You could not safely lock the forks when slowly approaching a red light w/o putting your feet down. It was too easy to topple over, because of the unevenness of roads. Would only work safely on perfectly even, freshly paved roads. Is the TMW system any better?

I do not know the answer to that. But owners do not have any bad things to say. Its way outside my price range. Take a $35,000 Harley and add a $10,000 trike kit.... About $35,000 outside it. Tilting is nice but it is about a 3 out of 10 on my NEEDS list. I have a VW front beam axle and a running Suzuki Burgman 650 engine. So when I get done with a few house projects I may start my build and order a Messerschmitt KR200 body kit from Germany. No tilting.

I have tinkered with leaning trikes however what one discovers is its simply a novelty item. there is no real gains in traction or cornering in fact just the opposite. It makes as much sense as a leaning car. There is one company doing conversions however most owners seem to be selling them shortly after purchase. Almost all major manufacturers have patents on leaning trikes but few are marketing them and is so like Yamaha it's just to attract attention to the brand. As I say novelty product.

TMW bought by Arcimoto who went bust early 2023 (??) leaving the technology for TMW owned by Few questions on that yet. For my own view they ended up with not a bad system but the design as I saw it was butt ugly.
