found this on a buggy forum for the rear end but with modification i think it would work as a reverse gear without taking up a lot of space. Looking more into this idea, i went back to the webpage where i found it. There is a lot more so i put the web address on one of the pictures. By the way the 20 AUD for the plans is about 14.20 US dollars, but shipping would be a lot more. Here's the rest of the suspension(Why do i keep thinking about FWD with this?).

One thing about a reverse gear drive is you do not need it for a RIDE ON RT, BUT a RIDE IN RT, that will be a different story, Your photo looks like a car engine starter motor and a flywheel? That'll work! I hope we have more ideas out there...

Has anyone thought about using a battery powered impact driver with a one way bearing to drive a sprocket.?

Has anyone thought about using a battery powered impact driver with a one way bearing to drive a sprocket.? Yes but I think a 12 volt winch with a boat trailer roller or a sprocket that engages with a lever is a easier more powerful solution. Although you wont be winning any races in reverse it beats getting out and pushing.
