Tri Pod Cars on FB. This is copied from their page: Another Tri Pod passed engineering for use on Australian roads today. In this case a CBR1100XX Honda Blackbird powered one (155BHP). Takes ages to get up to 100km/h...... (under 5 seconds).....So much fun. Stops on a dime too. Very lucky owner.

I think member Skiff is the distributor of the Tripod here in USA.

Well, I was...until Andrew changed his business model eliminating TRIPOD USA (including my investment of approx. $6k into building the molds for the body panels) and suddenly sold TRIPODCARS. No one has heard a peep from the new owner for over a year. The web site has some updated items in its store, but the only chatter on the forum is from existing kit owners finishing their builds. Water over ,er, ah, under the bridge...moving forward as they say. There were two (what TPC called) complete kits sold in the US...and my USA built chassis and (AU built body panels, A-arms, with AU donor hub and spindles) No worries, I am the sole owner of the USA built molds and plans for the aforementioned (but don't mention the named) vehicle. So far, I have the hood and the two side panels complete. Modified Dash, fenders and engine cover with appropriate cowling to replace the OEM seat to tail section to be ready by spring. Iv'e been working on redesigned a-arms so that Miata or Mustang II spindles and hubs can be implemented. (rather than the AU provided Holden Gemini Spindles hubs and rotors). Really leaning towards the Spartin Trike's Uprights and hub design, but have not closed the deal with Capt America...yet! My original and current goal was/is to provide a complete "Made in the USA" Reverse Three Wheeler kit for sale.
For almost two years, Parkinson's Disease has slowed the project to a screeching halt. (that's a story of its own to follow later!) I'm BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN...and itching to ride!
Stay tuned, more to follow.

Hello my fellow RTers!
I'm still here and making (slow) progress. The prototype steering column is almost ready for it's big reveal...as the Patent Pending numbers come in.
Finally decided how to proceed with the engine. Primary OEM engine with 139,600 miles on it, still runs strong, still would pull power wheelies in first gear, but it was using about a quart of oil every 5K mile oil change...meaning that the oil was being burned and blowing out the tail pipe. After getting the second gear skip fixed, and the gearbox all sealed and buttoned up, I realized that I needed the lower half of the engine case (gearbox case) off to access the crank, even to do a light rebuild of the rings etc...doh. Enter "spare" engine with less than 10k miles, but has the dreaded second gear slip in it.
This spare was purchased if the rare chance that my trusty steed would develop the same issue. Most of the FZ1OA members that reported this problem had either done engine swaps or R&R'd the gear box parts long before the 32k miles I had recently acquired on my bike. I figured that I had escaped this dastardly problem! Oh contraire! Right after I'd made the commitment to purchase the spare engine, you got it! My engine started second gear skip (SGS)!! I had not even pic'ed the spare up yet...and I was now a part of the rapidly growing number of SGS. But, I never got around to the spare...I just kept riding, and riding, and...well, you get the picture.
More soon.
