Please post more of any mods you have done. Looks a bit different than their web page. I had thought about getting a kit from them and cutting all the Burgman 400 mounts off and weld in Burgman 650 hangers. I just happen to have a 2003 Burgman 650 all apart in the garage without any tupperware to put it back together. I used all the tupperware on a wrecked 2008 650 and wrecked it 6 months later. I now have another 650 that I have put 49,000 miles on in 3 years. I would need to inclose it just a bit more for our weather up here in the Great North Wet. All things Burgman go to www.BurgmanUSA.com or www.Burgmanriders.com

NICE!Ed, you have MY trike. My plans for a ECO EXO was to copy the Lotus 7 look and some nice side bags in a SCREAMING YELLOW color. And upgrade modify to a Burgman650 of course. I do like the Mod's you and Roger have done to your ECO EXO's. I am still looking for a failed build or damaged one for my 650 mod.

Well the big day arrived. I got my parts in today after wiring in the emergency jump/charger cable. I installed the new fuel pump and adjusted the float so the gas gauge read correctly. I ran the pump a few times to clean out any bad fuel at the line that connects to the throttle body. I connected the line to the throttle body and tightened the Allen bolts. I purged the coolant line of any air bubbles and filled the overflow tank halfway up. So here we go. How did the first ride go? First real ride is a great thrill. Congrats! Where in WI are you. We need to get together. I'm suggesting a Wisconsin Reverse trike gathering. There are two of us near Janesville and with you it's three. Two's company, three's a party. Party time? Jim

Thanks guys I am in Oshkosh. I used to live in Janesville about 25 years ago. I had a great time there. I will definitely get down there this year. I am still waiting for my custom front shocks but sending the paperwork for the VIN number tomorrow. I also just got the Dynojet Power commander working on my 2005 Burgman engine. The harness was wrong and the wiring was also wrong but I got that all straightened out and everything is running smooth. It is 99% done now so after the oil change and rear end gear oil change I should be ready to go. Edward

Love the mirrors. What is the source? Well I am glad you like something on the build Just kidding. The mirrors are very well made and I also love the look of them. No call from the Trooper yet.

The trike passed inspection today. No defects could be found. He thought it was one of the best he has ever seen in the six years he was doing this full time. That felt pretty good coming from someone that is strictly by the book. Edward

It's a beauty! What's the steering column/box donor? Thanks Jim & Tinhorn I should have my plates in a few days and start the road testing and tweaking the suspension before doing any trips. But Beaver Dam sounds good to me. Tinhorn the steering rack and column is off a Fiat 500.

I did 150 miles on the 4th and had a blast. I had so much fun that I got a burn on my forehead but I should be healed by the end of the week. I did find the Eco Exo R a bit sensitive at 60MPH. It is precise but the slightest movement on the wheel and she would move. I used the video that Stuart posted on aligning the front wheels and did the following. Toe in with the two 12' angle irons placed against the wheels were about an inch more on each side in the rear so I have a slight toe in on each wheel. Caster was set at 4 degrees that was close to stock. I was able to get 6 degrees on each side and that seemed to work well. This made making the adjustable top A-arm a blessing for me. Camber with me in it was set so it was just slightly negative. After the test ride I really saw a great improvement. It was as steady at 60MPH as it was at 40MPH before the alignment. I took it past 65MPH and it got steadier! I think I am getting some down force action on the front end that is helping. I am really happy now! With all the changes I can now move the wheel a little bit without having the trike dart as before and is really enjoyable to drive. I am averaging 60 MPG overall so pretty pleased about that. I am also able to hear the stereo up to 45MPH and that has been working well including the FM radio. The GPS also work good in its location which really surprised me as I thought I might have problems in that location. I had a lot of complements how quiet it is and have had absolutely no problems with the engine or any other mechanical parts of the trike in the 175 mile I have put on it so far. This has been a real winner for me and is way beyond what I was expecting. Here are the first test videos so you can see how it goes down the road. flic.kr/p/nYtVJ2flic.kr/p/nYoYA1flic.kr/p/nG19E5flic.kr/p/nFZMKF

Hi everyone. I hope all of you have a great Christmas and holiday. After driving my Eco Exo R for 1500 miles I found a few things that bothered me. I decided to take care of all those problems and finished my trike yesterday. Some of the items on the list included the following. Carbon seat and Alcantara outdoor seat and back pads ( I made both myself). Isotta Modena Corsa steering wheel. This was very hard to find but I got one out of the UK as the are no longer made in Italy. Quick release pins for engine cover. Subwoofer for stereo system. (I still draw less than 10 amps wide open for the complete system and is very loud and clear:) left foot rest. Small wind deflector for hood. LED rear turn/brake & LED License plate light. DR Pulley HIT Clutch with DR Pulley 18 gram sliders and modified variator back slide plate. Emergency brake boot to match seat pad. Signal minder buzzer when turn signal is activated. This finally completes everything I can possibly think of as the trike has been super reliable with no issues during the 1500 mile I drove it. Now I can plan to meet some of you for a get together. What do you think? NICE Looks like production only better. Few manufacturers would incorporate some of the premium parts you have. Practical design with room for seat and extended legs. And Baggage! Ready for touring. Lovely detailing. Well done. Carpeting!!??!! I'll ask for the maker of the side bags, but probably freak at the price, same as I did with your mirrors.

Wow thanks Triplethreat! That is a high complement from you. I love your build so you know how hard it is to fit everything in a small space and look like it belonged there. The mirrors were a bit pricey but was what I needed so I had to bite the bullet on that one. The cases were under $350 so not too bad. The hard part was fabricating the custom mounts to hold the quick release mechanism and have them work smoothly. Non skid on the floor. It is all in the details but I am talking to the master on that one:) I probably have about 15K stuck in this one with all the trial and error prototypes but like you it is the only one in the world like this so even when all the Slingshots get together I will still stand out:) It is so much fun to drive so it was worth the time and effort to get to where I am now. How about you? Merry Christmas Edward

First, Merry Christmas to all. Second, and I'll say it here, GREAT JOB Edward! Third, if you do a road trip over here, pin me in for a test ride. Roger was going to stop on his western road trip on his Victory but by-passed the Seattle area. On the BurgmanUSA site we came up with ***TRAVEL STOP*** to let people know that they could have a place to take a break, camp, have tools, drop ship tires or any other thing on a road trip far from home. I have 1 acre of woods for pitching a tent, Wifi, Garage and all the tools

I decided to design and build a trailer for my trike . Here is a video of the frame and how it works. Videoflic.kr/p/r71cCiAnd here is where I am today. I finally got the wiring. Door Seals and Ratchets in their final locations. I also bent the track sides out a bit and sanded all the edges. I took the trailer and trike out for a spin and everything is working great. It sure was a lot of work but everything turned out according to plan so pretty happy but tired. I also install two interior LED lights when loading it at night. I still plan for a laser light that will line up the front left tire on the left side. That way I can push it back and once the tire is aligned I will be able to push the trike straight in. It is a one man operation and very easy to do. I also plan for a small hand winch to lower or raise the bar. It takes about 75 LBS now but as I get older it will be easy to winch it up or down. Hope you all like the ideas I am thinking of. You had me goin there at first when you said you had made a trailer for your trike and I looked at the first three pictures. I wondered how could you possibly pull that big trailer with your trike!? DUH. Very neat. Planning on trailering to shows? We can drive our trikes to shows but where to put the lawn chairs, umbrella , cooler and better half? Any one who builds a trike will find owning a trailer a near necessity. I bought an open 6x8 utility trailer from Lowes and made some mods so it would take the 10 ft tike and equipped it with a boat winch for easy one man loading. The trike and trailer together weigh about 1/2 ton, and most compact cars can handle that. Don't even feel it back there (maybe when I brake) in the CX5. I'll post pictures next time I have the trike on it, but I can tell you already it is not so impressive as yours.

Thanks triplethreat It will serve as it's garage and If I go on a long trip I can bring it along. I needed a trailer and figured might as well go all the way. It should weigh about 1200 LBS including the trike with full fuel so not too bad for a fully enclosed trailer. Edward

Nice look Edward. The lights look good. One thing I do not like about Suzuki is you can not adjust the dash brightness when conditions change, but most bikes are like that. On a digital dash it is worse when it washes out, you can not see a needle. Thanks Dave. This dash is very easy to see with the hood and sunshade built into the carbon instrument housing.

Thats one messy garage Edward. You need to post the link to those lights so we all can get some. I have some Cree 6 chip driving lights that will blast out white light for a long ways but not "dippable".
