It was sad to hear that Tanom Motors manufacturers of the Invador Trike cease production. If you're not familiar Google the Tanam Invador. This reverse Trike is simular to the Campangna T-Rex, a two seater with powerful Hayabusa motor. We are on this forum because we love reverse trikes and this is reflective with the many start up R. T. manufacturers within the last decade, like Can Am, Polaris, Vanderhall and Tanom to name a few. However like any business there success is is predicated on sales. Campangna has had financial issues over the years which it has in common with Tanom is a high price point over $55,000 +. In most cases a R. T. is more of a luxury toy as compared to a family commuter vehicle. The lesson here is price point, for a manufacturer to succeed thay have to think on a more massive scale and start with an affordable entry level R. T. Can Am studied the market and will most likely double their sales with the $8500 Ryker. Finally, most of us DIY are building our own R. T. for a bit less than $55k, so good luck to R. T. manufacturers & for the rest of us keep inspiring, building, triking!

The main reason is price point like you said. How many T-Rex clones are out there? Each one is a huge loss to Campangna of $10,000's.
As you can see over on the Facebook forum, some have bought 3 REAL Campangna Trex's. This will always be the case of price point and being able to drop that amount of cash. Some would have paid $150,000 for a real Trex if it was an extremely low # limited production. I can not compete... even at the current $60,000 for a new one so must try to do the home build.
A certain member on here just got his Ryker 900cc but he has not given us a detailed report.

Tanom Motors November 30 at 8:23 AM ยท At Tanom, It was always our mission to produce the finest reverse trike and deliver the ultimate high performance driving experience. We feel we accomplished that goal, however the automotive industry is very challenging and competitive. With increasing cost of materials, and the exorbanent financial investment to produce tooling needed to reduce production time and cost, we have decided to put production of new vehicles on hold until further notice. We thank you for all the support over the years. - Sandy Hall, President of Tanom Motors.
