I have always thought that double a-arms suspensions are a bit overkill for very light vehicles and have looked for years on what i think is the perfect 3 point front suspension. While not quite a 3 point, i think this FS will suit me just fine. Now if i can find someone to build it for me when i have all the diminsions necessary. First i need the basic frame cut and welded up. My suspension may be a bit wider than this one shown as i will have a very narrow frame( 22 inches wide). srx660

You may not think a simple solid axel on springs will corner well but it can. The Chevy 3500HD I drove with a huge set of maintance bins and a large Bucket lift would keep up with may cars in corners posted at 45 MPH doing over 55 MPH. Then my son Autocross raced a 1985 Toytoa SR5 4X4 Pickup with a live axle up front and did real well.

Funny thing is i was thinking about a straight axle front end just a week ago. It sure would do the job just fine for what i want. It would also shorten my build time quite a lot. With the health problems i am having right now i have not been able to do much on my trike. One good thing about not being able to do a lot of heavy work is my garage is slowly getting cleaned out so i will have the room inside to be able to start on welding up my frame soon. I'm getting kinda wound up a bit when i start thinking i'm not getting anything done on the trike. So, today i was looking around at suspensions and found this straight axle front end, which could work very well on my very narrow frame width of my trike. I doubt i would need double springs and perhaps short twin radius rods would work better with coil-over shocks. It is a easier to setup design. Need to think it over while i'm starting on the frame. srx660
