I wasn't going to build anymore, but my wife talking me into at least starting one to keep me going. I decided a kind of do one with a rough look of the old Morgan's of the 30's. Not a copy, but just the crude rough style they were. Going to go electric though. I've got an extra Vectrix XV1 scooter I'll cut up for the power. Not going to rush building it, just going to putz alone as my mood and energy lets me. I'll try to post pics and such as I go. Maybe it will bring some new life here and inspire some else.

I got starting on it. Pulled the scooter into the shed and did the initial striping down to see what I have to work with.
Someone is going to have to remind me how to post pics. And do it in a simple way.

The Facebook forums kind of stole everyone away. But on Facebook you can not have your build in one spot. If 10 posts come in on any day your build is buried. On posting pictures you need to be in full "Create Post" mode, not "Quick Post"
The picture below is 155.6Kb. Click to see bigger.

All that tupperware and other parts are resell'able. Many of these scooters have been dropped and need parts.

It's surprising how good of condition and low mileage you find these scooters. They were produced in Poland starting I believe in 2006. They are what are referred to as a maxi-scooter, like your Burgman ,Dave. 2 up touring capable. 120kph, 460lbs throttle controlled regenerative braking, and reverse. Down fall was battery technology at time. NiMH batteries. Limited range and people didn't understand you needed to keep them charged. If batteries feel below a certain voltage the on board charger would not function. Consequently you find them with very low mileage. The two I currently have had less the 500 miles on them. Lots of choices now days of easy battery conversions for them.

I'm not going to get fancy with this build. Going to make it by todays standards, crude. Going to make the fit, finish, and parts along the lines of the 1920's and 30's when they were produced. Its' not going to be a copy just a 100 yard squint looks like. I set the stripped down frame on the table with a couple of approx. frame rails to get an idea of spacing. Then cut a section of the frame off and looked at it some more.
