Hi everyone! My name is Louis, I am 29 y.o. French but I often travel and I currently live in Hungary. I love cars in general but I started to pay a lot of attention to reverse trikes when I found about the Sub G1 which was wonderful! I just bought an old and forgotten French car brand called Aerocarene and I intend to revive it. They made a very modern reverse trike in 1947 and I would love to build an electric one now. As you can guess, I have a lot of questions and ideas to share

Welcome Louis. You will find that the members on here can be helpful. But a lot of members do not come on here every day so if you ask a question you may need to wait for a day or two before someone answers. English translation may be the hard part but can be done.
Building an electric vehicle may seem easy when you first look but it can be very technical. You need the right controller for the type and size of batteries. You need the correct size charger for the size of battery. You need the correct Battery Management System (BMS) to control the charger while charging and running too.

I want the car to be road legal in the end so the main guideline is to select technical solutions and technologies that are already homologated.
The electric side will look like this: 96v batteries (4 Tesla modules?) Zero motorcycles motor 75-7 (already bought it) Kelly controller KLS8080 IPS
I could have bought a Sevcon controller but they are terrible to program if you're not an expert. Therefore the Kelly is going to be perfect for this build.
It should be able of 20kw continuous and 40-50kw peak 140Nm peak which are very nice data considering I want the total weight to be under 500kg (1100lbs).

Please post pictures while you rebuild your Aerocarene. If possible post pictures of what you are starting with also. I like seeing this kind of project. Admin
