After gathering parts and tools to build a gas powered RT I now have found a electric alternative that may work better. So here i go again off in a different direction. Since i have the basic frame and power train designs made, and a basic frame partially built, i can modify everything for a electric powered trike. I am planning on FWD on this design about the size of a can-am Spider. This website in England has what i am looking for. When i find out the cost's for everything i will post it here( thinking it may be a pipedream if too costly). jalopnik.com/finally-an-electric-crate-motor-you-can-drop-into-your-1839168140swind.life/products/hpd-e/I noticed there's 2 HP levels, 128 KW ( HP is the same), and 190 KW. Torque is 136 NM. Look it up and tell me what you think

I see Ford announced they'll have an electric crate motor too.
Is anyone keeping a list of companies that offer crate motors? So far there's EV West, Ford, Swind, and GM.

The GM electric conversation cannot be built by non-professional people. GM requires pros to add the electric system to a vehicle. That got me pretty uninterested because i can imagine the price that's going to be.

Well, if Erik Buell comes out with the Fuell Fllow 18K EV bike with an up to 30 minute charge time and 150 mile range in city, and the fact it is up gradable too. $10,995. Its more of a city bike. There may be parts to buy at wrecker yards soon. www.fuell.us/products/fuell-fllow-e-motorcycle

Eric is a super smart guy, not a genius as that title is reserved for John Britten, but a super smart guy who has pulled off some amazing stuff in the past.

Gas/diesel crate engines are simple installs. Basic plumbing.
Electric installs require that the installer KNOW how to plan out so many things. Wire gauge. Bend radius of wires. Cooling of controllers, batteries, motor and even the Hi Amp Contactors need cooling at times. The voltage and amperage involved will kill you with ease.
I am a retired licensed electrician and have been knocked to my knees a few times when power bites. I got in the path of 277VAC at 30 Amps and it blew me off a 10 foot ladder and I woke in hospital. Burns on my arm and chest from the arc and I broke two fingers that were holding on the the steel framework.

I do not know Erik's IQ level but it has to be kind of high. For the 120 to 140 IQ level it is called "Very superior intelligence" and I fit in there somewhere but my prior boss said I was "Dumber than a box of rocks" when he tried to fire me. But I do have a PHD in Physical Manual Applications.... Post Hole Digger.
