I know this is a 4wheeler, but i think any beginning builders should look at the Chassis design on this buggy for ideas for their RT. www.dpcars.net/dp2/de.htmAdmin

My take away from that is: It's an iterative process that takes awhile. Things will change so be prepared to grind off welds. Things will change because parts may no longer be available, you may find a better way of doing something, or your skill set might not be up to the task. Things will break and failure is part of success. We learn when things go wrong (well, most of us do ) and building a trike is a learning experience.

While I think Dennis Palatov does a lot of great work I am not sure the RT world should look to his chassis designs for anything beyond inspiration and understanding of well triangulated tube frames. The D2 pictured there is street legal LS3 powered beast of a car and his new version is electric. Dennis is a fantastic source of information and material for the DIY vehicle builders but I would point someone in the direction of the Norton Shrike for proper trike chassis design ideas, I just feel the D2 and the D1 are too far towards the 4 wheel world to really be applicable.
